Russia kills more than 23,000 Ukrainian troops

Russia claims 23,036 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in the fighting. Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov also gave an account of Ukraine’s military casualties in the ongoing war. News Sputnik News.

At a press conference on Saturday, Igor Konashenkov said that the Russian Defense Ministry had a reliable account of the losses suffered by the Ukrainian army, the National Guard and foreign mercenaries in the war. President Volodymyr Zelensky is afraid to divulge this information to the people of Ukraine.

Earlier in the day, Zelensky told CNN on Friday that 2,500 to 3,000 Ukrainian troops had been killed since Russia launched its offensive on February 24.

Russia’s Defense Ministry spokesman Konashenkov has denied the allegations, saying more than 4,000 Ukrainian troops had been killed in the Russian operation in the town of Mariupol alone.
