Greece is also known for its beaches and islands. Mykonos and Santorini are two of the best Greek islands. A visit to the island Delos will give you a taste of history and culture—the island is uninhabited and said to be the birthplace of the Greek gods.
Whether you’re on an island or hopped on the train from Athens, the beaches in Greece are worth a visit in and of themselves. Have a cocktail on the beach and watch the sunset over the sea. The view is something you won’t want to miss.
The food in Greece is also worth mentioning. Honey-based treats are exquisite. Baklava is the favorite, but there are many other options that will satisfy your sweet tooth. The lamb-based dishes are also rich and filling. Filo bread based dishes are a favorite, like the traditional spanakopita.

Another country with beautiful views, amazing beaches and much to see and do, Spain is a truly incredible experience. Whether you’re enjoying the culture in Barcelona or running with the bulls in Madrid, you are sure to have an exciting time in Spain. This doesn’t even include the mouth-watering food and amazing wine in this country.
Barcelona
Barcelona is an incredible, laid back city, full of unique treasures. Barcelona is full of great architecture, like that of Antoni Gaudi. Take a walk down La Rambla to buy everything from fresh flowers to fresh seafood or fruit. La Rambla is a market that is frequented by city dwellers and tourists.
Madrid
Madrid, the capital city of Spain, couldn’t be more different from Barcelona, yet is just as magical. In Madrid, you can visit the Royal Palace or the Prado Museum. The Madrid region of Spain is also where bull running is a traditional activity to experience.
Whether you’re in Catalonia or Madrid, you can’t go wrong with Spanish food. You have to eat Paella while in Spain. It’s the national dish, afterall. Unique, traditional tapas dishes, like blood sausage, are also worth a try. Eat your tapas street side, while sipping a glass of rioja. Celebrate your trip with a delicious, bubbly glass of cava.
