1. ATC Queen Elizabeth Stakes

This race is held every year at Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne, Australia. And the winner gets the total amount of AUD 1,500,000.

It is one of the oldest races in Australia; it was inaugurated in 1863. There was a time when it was a long-distance race, and the runner had to run for 3621 metres. Later in 1943, the race was shortened to 17 furlongs and 110 yards. 

5. Newmarket Handicap

The Newmarket Handicap was initiated in 1874, and since then, it has never disappointed its fans. It is an open handicap horse race, with maidens ineligible. The race is run down the straight over 1200m at the Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne, Australia.
